Case study · Delivery under a fixed deadline

Albers for Congress: a campaign site live in less than a week

A congressional campaign needed a site that could take donations, collect petition sign-ups and carry the platform, live in less than a week. I scoped, designed and built it, working directly with the candidate to launch with the information he wanted.

Less than a week to launch

The candidate needed petition signatures to get on the ballot, and a site that could collect them quickly. Everything on it (platform copy, endorsements, events, his photo) had to say what he wanted it to say, and it had to be live in less than a week.

What I did

Scoped to the deadline. Worked backwards from launch and election day to a short list of must-haves (donate, platform, get involved) and pushed everything else to a second release. [ Placeholder: what got cut and why. ]

Designed for trust. A political site is read by skeptics. Clear hierarchy, plain language, fast loads on phones, and the candidate's own voice up front rather than stock campaign graphics.

Integrated donations and petition sign-ups. Wired in [ donation platform ] so contributions flowed through a compliant processor, and tested every path to the donate button before launch.

Worked with the candidate. Worked flexibly with the candidate to get his information onto the site and launch in less than a week.
